The English Department at Irvine Valley College is a community of readers, writers, scholars, and students of all ages who believe that literature and writing are for everyone. Along with courses in academic writing and critical thinking, we offer a wide range of classes in literature and creative writing for students who want to discover new authors, explore new ideas, develop their own voices, and become stronger readers and writers.
