Orange County Equality Coalition (OCEC) was founded by a group of extraordinary individuals who shared the vision of a more just and equitable Orange County.  In 2008, after the passage of California's anti-gay-marriage act, Proposition 8, OCEC's founding members began organizing in the interest of marriage equality and justice for all people in a progressive Orange County.   Since this time, the OCEC community has continued to grow in numbers and influence as it strives toward this vision.

Their mission is to empower the LGBTQ+ community in Orange County through education, advocacy, and coalition-building.
