the nexxus Bookshop is an independent bookstore and emerging community hub rooted in Greater Long Beach.

Their curated collection includes new and used books selected to spark inquiry, deepen understanding, and open the door to new ways of seeing what is possible.

At the nexxus Bookshop, they believe books are seeds and that the books we read can plant seeds for curiosity, conversation, and connection…..AND when books have seen the end of their season, they can be upcycled into a myriad of new forms - from new paper to nutrient-rich compost for gardens and farms.

They amplify the things that emerge at borders and on the margins….the connection between stories and systems, nature and imagination, learning and action, and people who might not otherwise find themselves in the same room. Sometimes the most interesting possibilities emerge when we connect ideas that may seem disparate.
